june 26, 2009 around 6:30am i received 2 txt messages from my friends that reads mj passed away due to cardiac arrest at his home in LA..my initial reaction was: STUNNED for about 10seconds coz i couldn't believe what i am reading..question my self (am i dreaming?)..i was in my room then....immediately turn on the tv..i watched CNN then that's the time i realized that wow it's for real..but still i'm in denial though..soo upset about the news..coz for me it's not yet his time to go..not now..he has so much to give to the music industry, in fact he would have done his final concert last july 13..
i'm not a big fan of michael jackson before..but i grew up w/ his music..and i remember his first music video that i saw was BLACK or WHITE when i was a kid..like the last part of the video (changing faces thingy)..i also like his SCREAM video w/ his sister janet jackson..and in fact that's one of his expensive video..i just knew him as a king of pop then..
when he passed away that's the time when i get soo interested about his music and about him not only as a musician, but as a person as well..i'm really curious about what he has done and what he has accomplished..so what i did was, i watched every single show that features about him..from the CNN news, to the 24hour marathon on music channels, on mtv, you tube..i like the mtv special about him coz aside from his video there are some facts about him too that u could read..and from that my spectrum of knowledge about him widens.. i learn so much about MJ..and that really hits me..that made me realize that he is truly a genius! and clearly i admire him for that..now i'm proud to say that i'm a huge fan of Michael jackson..=) too bad i only became a fan of him when he's already gone..but still it's ok at least i learn to appreciate him, his music..and one thing that i like about him is his love and care for children..=)
hmmm..so i also watch his memorial service on CNN..i was teary eyed when usher sung gone too soon..;-( and when his daughter paris speak..u can see how much she loves her father..(sigh)
i'm glad that my sisy downloaded his thriller album on our laptop's itunes playlist..(good job crizy!)..
Indeed his one of the great artist of all time.. farewell michael jackson..u truly inspire us with ur moves, ur music..you'll forever be remembered..=)
