Fresh from my IV therapy training at perps, i've learned that there are two types of nurses. a Registered Nurse and a Professional Nurse..One of our lecturers pointed out the difference between the two..A Registered Nurse is the one who passed or recently passed the board exams, a nurse who practice her profession as a health care provider, a graduate trained nurse who has been licensed by a state or authority after qualifying for registration while a Professional nurse is a nurse who is well trained, has been practicing the nursing profession for a long time, can handle critically and life threatening cases well, an expert..

Many of us who just passed the Nursing Licensure Examination are called Registered Nurses, but in order for us to be a Professional Nurse requires hardwork, practice, patience, and training to achieve that..I realized that nowadays being an RN doesn't stop from passing the boards and just work our ass off for us to earn money or simply to gain experience for our future plans to work abroad or seeking a "more greener pasture"..let us bear in mind that being a nurse doesn't stop there..we have to continue studying, learn something from our experiences in the hospital setting coz being a professional nurse requires hardwork, practice, patience and expertise..because we're dealing with the lives of our patient.. And have u ever wonder what a nice feeling we could felt if we can deliver that quality care we do to our patients?..and that they are satisfied with our work?..

hmmm..i wanna be a professional nurse someday..*sigh*.. i know we all gonna be like that in the near future..so start practicing our nursing profession right now.. stop wasting our time and do something..and mind u, it's not only for our own good..most importantly for the people who needs our nursing care.. :)
