How to Apply Makeup in 10 Easy Steps

Personally i love applying make up..especially when i'm going out..and i'm soo fascinated to different colors and shades of makeup.. experimenting and trying out what color and tones that suits and compliments my skin tone..but i got to admit that there are times that i'm really having a hard time to correctly apply it esp. the eye shadow..(argghh!)..i really dunno how..lol..*sigh* coz i have deep set of eyes that makes it even more difficult that's why most of the time, the eye shadow that i applied almost disappears or doesn't even show..and i wanna learn how to mix and match the colors to give that smoky or even a nice effect to my eyes..anyways, i'm posting a 10 easy steps on how to apply make up..it's actually for beginners who wanna learn how to correctly apply make up..and mind u, this really helps me (super) when i was a beginner myself.. way back then..i just rely on it and eventually learn from it and right now i must say that it helps me a lot.. and i wanna share it with u guys..this is for you and hope u like it..:) enjoy putting make up..=p

Put your best face forward armed with beauty secrets from cosmetics industry pros. These 10 simple makeup tips are sure to speed up your daily routine with head-turning gorgeous results.

Step 1.Apply a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation. Dot it on over any blemishes or under-eye circles and blend with your fingertips or a makeup sponge. If your concealer tends to cake, apply eye cream first.

Step 2.Choose foundation that matches your skin tone. exactly. Apply it in dots over the central part of your face, then blend it out with a makeup sponge or your fingertips until it covers your entire face.

Step 3.Use a loose or pressed powder to keep foundation and concealer on longer. Use pressed powder to touch up when you're away from home.

Step 4. Do your eyebrows next. Use powdered eyebrow shadow on brows instead of pencil, which can often look unnatural. Apply it with a hard, slanted brush.(that's why it's important that we have a complete set of brushes that we can use on a daily basis of applying our make up).

Step 5. Choose three colors of eye shadow: light, medium and dark. Use the dark only to line your upper eyelid, in a fairly thin line along the upper lashes. Use the medium shade for the crease and the lightest shade for the area under the eyebrow. There are many variations on eye shadow application techniques.(This is the part that i'm having a trouble..but i'm learning..:) hope i can learn the techniques pretty soon..yay!)

Step 6. Apply eyeliner. Use a cake eyeliner with a damp, thin liner brush, or an eyeliner pencil, and line the lower lid below the lashes. Line only the outer two-thirds of the lower lid, or all the way across if you're trying to achieve a darker look. Line all the way across the upper lid (just above the lash line and as close to the lashes as possible), or start the line where your lashes begin. (my fav. part and i'm good at it..haha..:D cannot leave the house without an eyeliner..there are different colors available now like brown, blue, etc..but i like the classic black..coz it really highlights and defines ur eyes..and u have to try the liquid eyeliner too..and if ur using a waterproof eyeliner, u have to use an loreal eye makeup remover for this..tnx sushi!..:)

Step 7. Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes, in two thin coats to avoid clumpiness. Choose brown mascara if your coloring is fair; black or brown-black works well for darker coloring. Or try a colored mascara such as navy or plum for fun, but don't go too bright if you want to be taken seriously.(i think it's best to first curl ur eye lashes before putting the mascara..and it works for me). here are my tips:
Step 1: Wiggle the wand left to right at the base of lashes. It's the mascara placed near the roots -- not the tips -- that gives the illusion of length.
Step 2: Pull the wand up and through lashes, wiggling as you go.
Step 3: In this final step, close the eye and place the mascara wand on top of lashes at the base and pull through to remove any clumps.

Step 8. Smile to find the apples of your cheeks, and apply blush to the apples or below, whichever you prefer. If you have to blend in blush, it's too bright.( before applying he blush, first you have to know what shade or color of blush that fits your skin tone. the colors that will look most organic against your skin are the colors you find in your skin. Conversely, the colors that will create vibrancy are those that contrast. In selecting foundation, powder and blush, I urge you to honor your natural skin tone and choose colors that replicate your organic hues. Concerning eye shadow and lip color, it's all decoration as far as I'm concerned, so go for what attracts you. In most cases you will be naturally drawn to colors that flatter you).

Step 9. Choose a lipstick color that's suited to your skin tone and that's perfect for your day look. You can mix colors and textures to suit your moods and your outfits. ('m not a lipstick person..a lip gloss and shimmer are fine with me but sometimes i wanna try some bold color of lipstick like red coz it gives u elegance and some attitude in it)

Step 10. Line lips after applying lipstick, not before. That way you won't end up with a dark circle of lip liner after your lipstick has worn off. Avoid combining very dark lip liner and pale lipstick. ( i hardly use it but it can be effective to u guys..:))

Even on me sometimes you cant really see the eyshadow unless im lookind down or something. Important thing is to make it look as good when youre eyes are closed or when youre looking down and when youre looking face front haha. Laro tayo nila fets ng makeup when I get back! :)
